Mission

At Underdog, I combine ongoing research; lessons learned from my 20 years of experience as an Educator and Advocate; and what learners and families tell me they need to develop customized, low cost, easy-to-implement lessons, strategies, and supports that produce exceptional levels of growth and achievement for students. I define my success according to the following three indicators:

Increased and sustained engagement in learning, coupled with responsiveness to, and application of, instruction and feedback.

Learners achieving a growth rate that is 1.5-2x the developmentally typical rate, with attention to how specific working memory, reading, math, and language difficulties (Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Developmental Language Disorder, Language Processing Delays, etc.) can impact what is developmentally typical.

Increased learner confidence, as shown by a willingness to stretch outside of one’s comfort zone to gain skills and take risks in relation to learning.
