At Underdog, I specialize in offering results-driven tutoring services to learners, from kindergarten to high school.
I offer primarily small group sessions (4-5 students) focused around a specific topic or content area, such as decoding and spelling, and individualize the content and instruction provided related to that subject area or skill set for each student within the group. I use a variety of embedded assessments to monitor each learner’s ongoing progress, lingering areas in need of improvement, and next steps for learning.
The average tutoring client that I see increases his/her rate of growth by 1.5-2 times developmental expectations after consistently attending 12-18 weeks of twice weekly sessions. More importantly, parents report a significant increase in their child’s confidence and willingness to take risks and try hard things in learning after they’ve worked with me for a while.
